Spent the holidays in California, eating lots of tamales, and catching up with familia. Went x-mas shopping with my bro and ended up buying a bunch of Crayola markers, pencils and a big 12''x18'' sketch pad that I would doodle on while watching the tube. Felt good drawing "big". This sketch is actually 6"x11". Scanned it in and added some highlights in photoshop for fun. I think I'll start using Crayola's more just so it'll say: media - Crayolas.

CD cover

Been working on a cd cover for a friend from time to time. A dj robot spinning turntables sounded like fun, so here you go. Rough pencils and a color comp. Still trying to figure out how to do the final piece. We'll see. Too many options.

Travis's sunset 12/14

So, 4:15 came around again, and I wasn't intending on doing a color sketch, but Travis pointed out how purty this one was. How could I say no? Go check out his new "Lost" sketches on his Skullbabyland blog. Good stuff.

4:15 sunset 12/08

Did another 15 minute sketch. This time it was so clear you could see the mountains in the far background.

Sunset sketch 4:15p.m

Here's a 15 minute sketch I did last night looking out the window at work. We get a nice view of the sunsets, and I always wanted to bring in my paints and do some quick sketches. After forgetting to bring in my paints for weeks, it finally dawned on me that I use a PAINT PROGRAM at work everyday. You can actually see the Seattle skyline in the middle, far right.
