Just got back from LA the other night and thought I'd post a quick report. The show was amazing. Getting to Gallery 1988 early didn't matter because there was already a line and that place was consistently packed shoulder to shoulder all night long.
So many good pieces of art. Pretty epic show. You can view all the art and see who did what by clicking here.
As you can see from these few photos, there was a wide range of work. If you live in or around LA, you really need to get down to the gallery and check out the show. There's also a review of the show in the music section of the LA Weekly. Another review with co-owner and director/curator of Gallery 1988 Jensen Karp, here. The gallery, along with the Beasties, helped raise money for The Gramercy Housing Project, which is pretty cool. Anyway, the show will be up until the 29th, so if you can, check it-check it out!
