KZOK. The clients wanted a Big Daddy Roth type of monster for this design, which, coincidentally, comes on the heels of a recent show I'll be doing at Tasty, up in Greenwood that is semi related (in the car culture sense, that is).
Rob Schwartz and myself will be showing some new work that will be drawing from car culture, and everything related to said culture. Get more info here and check out some of the names of the other artists that will be showing in a coinciding group show. Greenwood will also be hosting a car show next month, so if you're in the neighborhood for that, don't forget to stop by Tasty and check out the art show.
By the way, if you have 20 minutes to kill, and want to see the early stages of the Hellboy painting from a few posts ago, you can see me and my buddy Jimmy Berta painting and talking about art with our old high school art teacher (who is also Jimmy's mom) Carol Peters. Carol is retired, but is still active in the community bringing art to everyone through a local public access channel, back home in Gilroy, California. You can check that out here, and stay tuned for some sneak peeks at the new work from the upcoming show.
